Before reading these articles the most knowledge I had about NFT’s was that it was a method of selling digital art, and that every time I post on instagram a bot try to get me to sell NFT versions on my posts. I think NFT’s are neat as a form of selling digital art, too me it sounds like a fancy use contract a bit. I think NFT’s can add to the value long term of digital art, but they also aren’t as regulated as other methods of copyright. I also don’t think it helps that the really famous NFT works that spring to mind first are seemingly middle or low standard works, easily replicated profile pics, if it was applied to already expensive works like vtuber models I think it’s brilliant. I think NFT’s in the long run are a tool that should be explored by artists.
